PLANT EXCURSION TRIP TO HARIKE PATTAN

A plant excursion trip was organized for the students of B.Sc II (Medical) to Harike Pattan for plant samples collection. A total of 40 students visited the site and collected the habitat, taxonomic information and herbarium samples.
VISIT TO TISSUE CULTURE LAB, GNDU, AMRITSAR

Department of Botany organized an educational trip for the students of B.Sc. II (Medical) on Feb.3, 2014. Students visited Tissue culture laboratory at GNDU, Amritsar. The Resource person present there explained the technique of tissue culture and its advantages. Students asked various questions which were satisfactorily answered by the expert.
VISIT TO SCIENCE CITY, KAPURTHALA

Department of Botany organised a visit to Science City. The students keenly observed many instruments and models. they are motivated and pique their curiosity from demonstrations of various models given by the instructor. Teachers further illustrate the principles and working of various models by asking them theory related questions. The students learnt a lot as well they enjoyed during this educational tour.
EDUCATIONAL VISIT TO SCIENCE CITY, KAPURTHALA

With the kind permission of Dr. (Mrs.) Madhu Prashar Principal, Dev Samaj College for Women, Fzr. department of Botany organized a visit to ‘Science City’ Kapurthala. The student of Bsc 4th semester Medical observed keenly many instruments and models. They tried to understand various specific phenomena from the instruments and working models with the help of instrumentation displayed there. The teachers and instructors also elaborating the underlying principles and working of various models by asking them theory related questions. The students are selected in number of flora of wild plant for the preparation of herbarium file. The students learn a lot as well as they enjoy during the educational tour.
Educational cum Plant Excursion Trip to Hari ke Pattan

An educational cum plant excursion trip was organized for the students of B.Sc. Medical and M.Sc. Botany to Harike Pattan for plant samples collection. A total of 35 students visited the site and collected the habitat, taxonomic information and prepared the herbarium of samples.
Plant Excursion Trip to Bazidpur Sahib and adjoining areas

One day plant collection trip was organised on 21st February, 2017, near Bazidpur Sahib and adjoining areas. The students collected the different type of local Flora especially weeds. These plants were identified and labelled. The motive of the this trip was to introduced Local flora to the students and also to prepare a herbarium file by drying the specimens of the plants and attaching them on the herbarium sheets.
6 DAYS BOTANICAL EXCURSION TO DALHOUSIE

Botanical Excursions are an integral part of Botany curriculum. A botanical excursion was organized to Dalhousie from September 14-19, 2017. Students of M.Sc.I & II (Botany) enjoyed it along with their teachers. They visited various localities like Banikhet, Khajjiar, Punjpulla etc. for plant collection.

Department of Botany organized an Educational trip to FRI, Dehradun on March 28,2018. About 45 students of M.Sc. (Botany) and B.Sc.II (Medical) visited Forest Research Institute along with their teachers. Students visited various labs in the institute and interacted with the Scientists working over there. 
3 DAYS BOTANICAL EXCURSION TO MUSSOORIE AND DEHRADUN

Botanical Excursions are an integral part of Botany curriculum. A botanical excursion was organized to Mussoorie and Dehradun from March 28-31, 2018. Students of M.Sc. Botany and B.Sc.II (Medical) enjoyed it along with their teachers. They visited various localities for plant collection.

Botanical Excursions are an integral part of Botany curriculum. A botanical excursion was organized to Mussoorie and Rishikesh from October 7-13, 2018. Students of M.Sc. I & II enjoyed it along with their teachers. They visited various localities for plant collection.
VISIT TO KRISHI VIGYAN KENDRA

Students of B. Sc. Final visited Kisan Mela -2018 held at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Ferozepur on October 15, 2018. They visited various stalls and interacted with experts from different fields.
A VISIT TO GURUDWARA JAMNI SAHIB, BAZIDPUR

A Religious visit to Gurudwara Jamni Sahib, Bazidpur was organized in collaboration with department of Agriculture on October 15, 2018 for the students of B.Sc. III Medical.
